“Our lives are frittered away by detail…Simplify, simplify, simplify!”
Growing up, I didn’t fully understand what Henry David Thoreau was trying to say when he wrote those words. But over the past year they have become my life’s mantra.
Nothing is simple today.
In order for my face to be glowing as well as acne and wrinkle free, I have to use no less than 4 different products at least twice a day. Sorry gals, Noxema and Oil of Olay don’t cut it anymore! Continue reading →
Pretty women wonder where my secret lies. I’m not cute or built to suit a fashion model’s size But when I start to tell them, They think I’m telling lies. The fact that I am a big ole nerd has never been a hidden fact. I love to watch PBS, listen to NPR, and yes, I absolutely ADORE reading the classics. Perhaps I am what is classified as an old soul. Continue reading →

Do you ever catch yourself repeating the same phrase over and over, and OVER again? You know, one of those pesky little sayings that really is not meant to be a fact statement, but you say it so much, that eventually over time you start to believe it?
If so, then this post if for you. If not….read it anyway because, well, let’s face it….. you know you really do what I am talking about. Continue reading →
